First Day of School

August 27, 2012...Sally's first day at Liberty Christian....she's officially a Wee Warrior.

Her teacher is Mrs. Cothes. She's in the same class as a couple of my classmates...makes me feel old! So thankful she'll get to go through school with Caleb and Sophie. She is also in the same class as some of her soccer buddies, Rhyan and Kennedy. It looks like its going to be a great year. She LOVES school!

Grant 7 Month

Our sweet little man is 7 months old!
He's on the move...uh-oh!!!

He has a love-hate relationship with the vacuum....loves it when its off and he can explore it...hates it when its on!

Galveston 2012

Words cannot describe what a fabulous trip we had! We went to Galveston for the second year in a row....however, this time our sweet, sweet friends, the Johnsons, came with us. Every minute of the trip was perfect! Our kiddos did great together, of course, the boys enjoyed their time, and I was quickly reminded of how much I enjoy spending days with Taylor! It brought back such great memories of our camp days together!
We started the trip in Bryan on the 4th of July. We stayed at the LaSalle hotel in downtown Bryan. We ate at La Bodega that evening and even fit in a fireworks visit with the Story family. It was great to catch up with Kim in person (we get to talk on the phone-- but it is so much better when we're not 300 miles away from each other!), and the kids loved watching fireworks together!
Our beach house was AMAZING!!! We could have stayed forever!!
Family pictures that I will treasure forever!

I am so thankful for our precious friends.

GED: 6 Months Old

6 Months...Wow...what a whirlwind! Grant continues to be the most laid back, sweet boy ever! He is an eater- its hard to find enough food to feed him everyday! He's not so much of a sleeper- he naps just ok, and he does not quite sleep though the night yet. He needs to check in with his mommy in the middle of the night...or maybe a couple of times! :) Its a work in progress. He enjoyed his first major trip to the beach this month. He doesn't love the car, but he is pretty agreeable as long as I'm in the back feeding him puffs! He's almost sitting up unsupported. Thankfully, he's not crawling yet! I count every moment with this precious boy a complete blessing!

Grant's Baptism

Grant was baptized on June 30 in Oklahoma City. We were blessed to be able to do it at All Souls' Episcopal Church. It was special because this is Ted's home church. We were even more blessed because PJ and Ashley agreed to be Grant's godparents. I am so thankful for such a special time for our sweet boy. It was a great family weekend filled with good friends, a yummy lunch at the Downing's after the baptism, and friends that will always feel more like family than friends!
Madelyn and Grant were quite interested in each other...He thinks she's cute....He's right!

Soccer

Sally is a Tiger! This is her first year to play soccer. She plays with some other girls from Liberty. So far her favorite thing to do is cheer on the sidelines. I feel like she comes by that pretty honestly!
Grant loves watching his sister....or sitting in his stroller eating puffs!

Our team encourager...
GO TIGERS!

Life: Slow Down!

First rice cereal: May 3, 2012

This boy loves to eat! (But he's a bit camera shy!)

After just a few days of getting in his highchair, he quickly figured it out and would get really excited to eat!

Fun family nights at the Denton Square listening to music.

5 Months old: May 26, 2012

Mr. Grant Downing: 4 months old and growing fast!

My sweet 4 month old. Grant is a true joy. He is a happy, laid back guy. He continues to be a great eater. In fact, he still wants to eat about every 3 hours at night. He happily takes a bottle and plays with it (after he's eaten, of course!).  He can almost hold his own bottle. He rolls from his back to his tummy, but man oh man that makes him mad. He's not a fan of tummy time. He always has something in his mouth! His favorite thing to chew on is his Mickey Mouse blankey. He was playing with Sophie (the squeaky giraffe) the other day and he accidently squeaked it. It terrified him! He cried and cried! So, we'll wait on Sophie for a while longer. He loves to watch Sally and he giggles at her whenever she's around. 4 month stats:
16 lb 4 oz
26 in

I love the progression of these pictures. He obviously wasn't too happy with the idea of his monthly pictures, but he became increasingly more upset with me. "NO MORE PICTURES, Mommy!!"

I can't even count the times when I look at my sweet family surrounding me and I can't believe how richly God has blessed me. I am one thankful mama!

Easter in OKC

We spent Easter in OKC with Grandmums, Grampa, Jenni, Shane, Anna, and Ally.
We had a wonderful weekend!

This is now one of my very favorite pictures ever!
Anna, Ally, and Sally. Sally loves, loves, loves these sweet girls!
Sally has become a professional egg hunter!
 Love my precious girl!
 Sally loves her Grandmums!
 Sweet family picture.
 The girls!

3 Years & 3 Months

Whew! What a wild and crazy (and wonderful!) spring! Grant turned 3 months on March 26 and Sally was 3 years old on April 2.

We had a family birthday party for Sally. We hunted eggs in Nana and PopPop's back yard.

 This girl loves her cake!
And we all know how much she loves Minnie! She was so excited to get real Minnie ears from Eric, Megan, and Rob from Disney World!
Our big 3 year old on the morning of her birthday!
And our BIG 3 month old. Grant is such a happy little fella, but he sure does look serious in pictures!

I sure do love these two sweethearts!
