Sisters
So...Sally was born into a family with 2 "kids" already. Copper has been the princess of this house for quite some time. Aspen is our other "kid," but she is living in Denton while our house is on the market. Copper was not too sure of Sally at first. We made her wear this shirt the day we brought Sally home. Copper HATES wearing clothes. She moped around most of the day because she felt silly. She is curious about Sally and little by little she is becoming more comfortable around her. She likes to be in the same room with her until she starts crying. Copper has begged all of our visitors to adopt her...I think she'll change her tune once Sally can play with her. It will be fun to see Aspen's response to Sally. Aspen loves kids. She plays with my nieces and nephews all the time up at Mom and Dad's. It will be great to have the whole family back together again soon!

Copper crawled up in Ted's lap while he was rocking Sally to sleep.
Apparently, he was successful in putting them both to sleep! Copper is working on reclaiming her spot in Ted's lap.
Happy Easter!
This Easter was so very special. It never ceases to amaze me to realize how greatly God has blessed us. I want to make a conscious effort to truly to be thankful to God for the amazing life he has given me. The addition of our new angel absolutely makes each day a gift and I never want to take my blessings for granted. Sally's first Easter was a great day spent with Ted's family.

First Walk
The weather was finally right for Sally's first walk! Ted, Copper, Sally, and I set out for our walk on Saturday afternoon. Sally seemed to enjoy the ride and it felt great to get outside for a while! We met neighbors and talked about all the houses that are for sale in the neighborhood. Its become a pastime for Ted and I to compare our house to every other house in the area...now we're just hoping that our house sells before all the others! It was a great walk! I do have to say that as we were coming home our next door neighbor pointed to his belly and asked me how much longer....WAIT A MINUTE...did he not see the giant stroller?!?! I won't even mention the other questions that went through my mind...overall I decided that it must have meant that I was the tiniest pregnant person ever...or something like that.

New Friends Part I
Sally has been so fortunate to have so many new friends come visit her. She's not even 2 weeks old and I think she has more friends than I do! :) We are so very thankful for our friends and family and the love and support that we have received over the past 9+ months and especially over the past 10+ days. We are truly blessed by the very special people in our lives. Here are just a few pictures of Sally and her new buds!
Aunt Jenni ~ see where she gets her red hair?!?!
Michelle - Maybe Sally will go for older men and will date Finley someday...you know, when she's 30....
Sweet Andress- Andress brought Sally a Swankie Blankie-- she loves it!!
Stacey- Copper was SO glad to see her! She's been feeling a bit left out lately...
Keli and Kristen -- they were our first visitors once we got home! Thanks for coming, girls!

First Bath
Sally had her first bath on Monday morning. She wasn't too sure about being wet and cold until we washed her hair. She LOVES that part. She gets very quiet and peaceful. Is there anything better than a baby fresh out of the bath?

First Day Home
We arrived home from the hospital yesterday about 2:45. Sally met her big sister, Copper, and they seem to like each other. Copper has an "Its a Girl" shirt that we made her wear, but she was too embarrassed to take a picture of her-- maybe next time! She'll meet her other sister, Aspen, soon. We showed Sally her crib and her room, we got some rest, and ate a great dinner thanks to Grandmums and Grandpa. It was a great first afternoon at home!

Sweet Pea
Sally Claire is here! She was born Thursday, April 2 at 6:47 pm. She weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and she was 20 inches long. She has lots of auburn hair that sticks straight up most of the time! She is alert and loves to look around. So far she is a great eater. Dad, Mom, and baby are all happy and healthy! We have been so very blessed.
