Well, its been very crazy around here. We closed on our Dallas house on Monday, June 22! YEA!!! We were so excited to drive back to Tulsa together as a family and start unpacking! Well, we walked into the house to a very unwelcome surprise. Our air conditioning had gone out-- again-- it went out the previous Thursday when Ted was home to meet the movers. So, we spent Monday night at a hotel. Sally seemed to like her first hotel stay! However, our little "vacation" was not so relaxing because I had to FIGHT with the home warranty company. It wasn't pretty. Long story short...stayed at PJ's house Tuesday and Wednesday night and were able to return home Thursday to a "fixed" a/c...We were happily unpacking on Saturday afternoon when we realized that it was getting awfully warm inside...Yup- it was out again. So we had a slumber party at Mike and Libby's (all 5 of us: me, Ted, Sally, Aspen, and Copper). Our new a/c unit arrived Monday morning and it has been nice and cool ever since! We LOVE our new friends at Expert Mechanical-- I am on a first name basis with most of the technicians there. (That story seems much less traumatic now that I am just writing it in the comfort of my cool kitchen.) Sally had a lovely week, actually. Her Grandmums came to town to keep her. They had a great time...Thanks Grandmums! Since then my mom has been in town and we have been a tornado of playing with Sally and setting up the house. I think we're on the right track! Could we have a normal life ahead of us???

At home- listening to Daddy sing to her.
Comfy hotel bed!!
Becca singing to her at the hotel-- she LOVES when Becca sings!
We stopped in OKC on our way home to meet Grandmums and Joann for a quick lunch!
Sally had her first swim on Father's Day at her aunt Jenni's house. She was a bit worn out...

Happy First Father's Day, Ted. Sally and I are the luckiest girls in the world to have you in our lives. You are an amazing dad to our little girl. I love you!

A Shower for Sally!

We just returned from such a fun weekend in Oklahoma City! Some of Grandmums friends threw a baby shower for us. It was so fun that Sally got to attend her party! We had a wonderful time. The food was so tasty - the cake looked too pretty to eat- Sally received many sweet outfits, books, and baby necessities, and the guests at the party were so fun! Sally loved meeting special friends! She wore a new outift from Grandmums-- she was careful to not get it dirty-- it is silk!
After the party, we went to the neighborhood picnic and then returned to Grampa and Grandmums to play with Sally for the rest of the evening!
A perfect weekend!
Now we're back home and preparing for our trip to Dallas next weekend...to PACK our house!! YEA!!!! Our house has sold....more updates coming soon!

2 Months Old!
Sally had her 2 month check up today.
Weight: 12 lb 12 oz (What a big girl!)
Length: 23 3/4 in (Where does she get her height?)
She was a champ at her doctor's appointment. She smiled at the nurse and doctor. She only primped up her mouth and cried for a minute after her shots. I think Mommy had a harder time with the shots than she did!! Now, she's been a little uncomfortable and resting for the afternoon...we'll see how tonight goes...
I cannot express how wonderful the past two months have been. She is such a blessing to us. Everyday she is growing into a more vibrant and fun little girl. She is constantly smiling and cooing at us. She loves to sing and talk with her Daddy. One of my most favorite times is when I am met with the biggest smile as I lean over her crib to get her up in the mornings. She is such a happy baby! I am so thankful that God has blessed us with our angel.
Full of smiles!
Her "official" 2 month picture with her lamby. Notice the puffy eyes-- this was after her LONG nap after her shots. She was a bit groggy...

Catching Up
Sally has been one busy girl over the past couple of weeks. She has met new friends, spent time with special, special friends, flown for the first time, and grown like a weed!
(The pictures are not in chronological order...this blogging thing sometimes gets the best of me!)
Happy Summer! Sally is officially ready to hit the pool!
Piper Johnson and Sally...best friends since birth!
Sally and Piper finally got to meet! Taylor (Piper's mommy) and I have been best friends for many years. Just like God had a plan for Taylor and I to meet (we had so many mutual friends and our paths crossed so many different ways...it was inevitable), so it is with Sally and Piper. Taylor and I found out we were both expecting within days of each other. We were shocked that the other was pregnant and even more shocked when we found out our due dates were so close together. Taylor was due April 11 and I was due April 6. Taylor's due date was moved up to April 6 and we just loved that our girls MIGHT be born on the same day. I honestly never thought it would really happen, especially since I was scheduled to be induced on April 2. God had a plan...Taylor went into labor on April 1 and Piper was born on the morning of April 2. Sally was born less than 12 hours later! We finally got to meet on Sunday...it was so special to meet sweet Piper and catch up with Taylor and Chris. We miss them so much! I'm excited about the years of memories we have ahead of us!
Tuesday, May 26: Sally's first flight! Mom and Dad picked Sally and me up from Tulsa on Tuesday. I needed to come to Dallas for a doctor's appointment, so we went to back a little early. Dad has flown for many, many years, so we knew we were in good hands. Sally thinks its pretty cool that she has her own pilot! ;)
Memorial Day weekend: Andress and Patrick come visit! Andress and Patrick were our first visitors in Tulsa. We had such a wonderful time. Most of our time was spent on a quilt in our vacant living room staring at Sally! Now, that's my idea of a perfect day! We also went to Utica Square for some shopping, celebrated PJ's birthday at his house, and sipped wine on our patio. Andress and Patrick are so special to us. They are such great friends. We are blessed that they have agreed to be Sally's Godparents. I could not ask for any two people to better guide our little one.
The first picture is a rarity-- Sally crying in the presence of Andress and Patrick. She is usually in heaven with them-- just like above! They both have the special touch!
Miss Meg! We finally got to get the two red heads together! Meg and Ilena came to visit a couple of weeks ago. The girls will be such good friends. I see many OU tailgates and football games in their futures. Just think of the trouble that these girls will find !
Meg was pretty interested in Sally, but Sally was a bit distracted by her pacifier.
