Labor Day 2009
We had a wonderful relaxing Labor Day. We went and walked La Fortune park near our house. Then we had a little picnic at the park...followed by lunch at Chili's. Yes, a picnic followed by lunch. We walked a long way-- we needed to make up for it!! The weather was beautiful (but a little hot-- I was getting used to 70 degree days!), and we enjoyed a laid back day.
The golf course that the trail follows is beautiful!
Sally enjoyed our walk.
Grass! This was her first time to play in the grass. She was pretty intrigued!
"I don't know, Dad. What do you think?"
"Mommy, he's a riot!"

The Perfect Weekend
Andress and Patrick came to visit us this weekend...all I can say is that it was PERFECT. My only complaint is that it ended too soon....
Drinks on the patio.
Sweet Andress and Sally. Sally LOVES both of her godparents.
We watched the OU game...A & P did their part to add a little Aggie to this little Sooner in training...home team's colors won out...but not for long! She needs to learn what an Aggie ring feels like!
Future cheerleader?
S'mores! YUM!
Breakfast at Brookside By Day...so tasty!
Riding in style!
Sally is on cloud 9 when A & P are here!
I truly cannot express how thankful I am for A & P. They are the most wonderful friends. They are so great with Sally and she so clearly loves them!

5 Months!
Sally turned 5 months old on September 2. We celebrated by attending story time at the library with our friends Elizabeth and Michael. Sally also had a taste of carrots for a birthday treat! She seemed to really like them, but we'll wait a couple more weeks until we really start veggies. Her latest development has been getting comfy on her tummy. She naps on her tummy now. She also plays happily on her tummy. We're getting there! Here are a few pics of our angel on her 5 month birthday.

It was hard to get a good pic with lambie this month! Sally is a bit active these days!
Playing and talking up a storm!
She's a fan of carrots!

Fun Weekend!
We had a wonderful weekend in Oklahoma City. We joined Jenni and Shane to help put in the Downing's backsplash. Van, Ted and Shane did a wonderful job of tiling the backsplash. The kitchen looks amazing with new granite, backsplash and appliances. I don't think they should have to cook in it and mess it up! Jenni taught me how to make baby food-- ok, she made most of it and I watched and took notes! It was so fun, and Sally now has plenty of tasty first foods. The weather was perfect so we also got to spend a ton of time outside. Sally loved spending time with her cousins, Anna and Allie. It was a pretty perfect weekend!

The finished product! I love the medallion!

Sally and her great-grandparents.
Grandmums feeding her cereal. Sally is loving her rice cereal!

Sweet Allie!
Baby food central...a.k.a. the laundry room. Since the boys were tiling in the kitchen, Jenni and I took over the laundry room.
Jenni-- the pro!
Watching Saturday morning cartoons!

We're Back!!
Yea!! Our camera issues are finally resolved! We got a new one today...so far, so good. I went a little picture crazy since its been a couple of weeks since ours has worked.
Sally has become really good at rolling over, but she HATES being on her tummy. She'll play for about three minutes, then cries to be picked up or at least rolled over on her back. But today she was playing on her tummy and started fussing, so I went to get her paci to get her ready for a nap. There was no "getting ready" for this nap...by the time I had the paci in her mouth, she was down for the count. Maybe this tummy thing is getting better...

She is happy on her tummy as long as you are on your tummy playing with her...this makes for some long afternoons!

Some outside time with Daddy during his lunch.

It was such a beautiful day today!

Believe it or not, she was supposed to be napping...

Today when she was going down for her nap she turned over, got very mad, and scooted her way to the corner of her crib. Thankfully this only happened during naptime and not at night. I think the bumper pads are on their way out.
